Japan is a very interesting Country, especially food-wise.
I fell in love with Japanese sushi and snacks and I always want to try new flavors and dishes.
In the past, I've explored cool subscription boxes such as Japan Candy Box, Japan Funbox, Candy Japan Box and Tokyo Treat, which offer great and original candies and treats from the most innovative and fascinating Nation.

Today we are focusing on a shop that I've come to adore when I was in the UK: Japan Centre.
I have been to their Westfield Stratford and Shaftesbury Avenue centres in London and wanted to buy everything!
I discovered that they are shipping online too so that's even easier for all of you who want to pick some nice Japanese stuff and don't have the possibility to go to the stores.
Yes, they ship worldwide!!! How cool is this...
I made an order cos I wanted some abuurage wraps (tofu pouches) so badly and some rice crisps of course. It was so worth it.

There are a lot of things that I love about this store: you can find pretty much anything, from food and drinks to kitchen accessories, books, and stationery items.
There is also a loyality program where you can earn points from orders and use them as cash discount to pay less on your future orders.
Make sure to visit their Summer Sale section as well, there are pretty good discounts over there that will last only until sept.7.
There is an English label attached to every single package with the English name and the list of ingredients, and this is a very important detail in my opinion because this way Occidental people can understand what is it too!

I've had the pleasure to try on their Premium Pop Culture Snack Box.
The Mini has 5-6 items and costs £15/month (free shipping within the UK), the Standard contains 7-10 items for £25/month and the Premium 11-16 items with drink and noodles at £40/month.
Here's what I found in the August box:

1. Daikoku Foods Sapporo Miso Ramen. An instant noodle big package with miso flavored broth and cabbage and sweetcorn garnish. I really loved this, it tastes great and it's ready in only a few minutes by adding boiling water.




2. Katsugai Crispy Prawn Peanuts. These smelled like fish at first, in fact, they are seasoned with prawn flavor, but they taste good and you get used to the smell quickly. There is a peanut in the center, with a crunchy biscuit. Nice ones!




3. Glico Pocky - Almond Crush. Pocky sticks are well known. These biscuit sticks covered in milk chocolate and roasted almond are very delicious! You can't go wrong with them. There are two single serve packs inside this nice golden packet.




4. Furuta Matcha Green Tea Sandwich Cookies. For the lovers of matcha tea: HOORAY! These cookies are delicious. Two sweet biscuits with a matcha creamy filling. To die for.




5. Yurakuk Big Thunder Coconut Chocolate Cookie Bar. Unfortunately, it came smashed and melted by the Sicilian heat. But I eat and scraped every single piece of it from the packet as it tastes amazing. It's a waffle-like biscuit bar with corn flake puffs, coated in milk chocolate. Yum.



6. Kamedaseika Teshioya Dashi Salt Rice Crackers. These smelled fishy as well but the flavor is amazing. I love rice crackers and these are crispy and salty to the taste. Seasoned with bonito and konbu kelp dashi salt, they are individually coated and there are 9 in the package.



7. Kamedaseika Soy Sauce Fried Rice Crackers. Have I already said how much I love rice crackers? Yes, I have. These ones are a bit heavier than the previous ones, cos you can taste they're fried. But it's probably my favorite taste so far as I love sweet and salty things. These are very crispy and seasoned with honey and light soy sauce, like a teriyaki flavor.



8. Tohato Chocobi Star Shaped Chocolate Snacks. Nice ones. They are corn-based crunchy chocolate puffs, with an addition of calcium for the perfect morning breakfast boost.



9. Kabaya Rilakkuma Honey Butter Pretzel Sticks. Crunchy pretzel sticks, honey butter flavored. Nice snack, tastes good and it's cute cos we all know the kawaii Rilakkuma bear!




10. Kasugai Grape Gummy Candy. Soft jelly, gluten free sweets that taste like rich and sweet grapes. With real fruit juice.



11. Sangaria Honey Lemon Drink. A still drink, very sweet, with lemon and honey taste. I like it but perhaps for my personal taste is a bit too sweet. They even recommend it for sore throats as the honey and lemon combination is well known for this purpose.



12. Fujiya Look Taste Of Japan Chocolates. These chocolates are detached from each other (it's not one solid block of chocolate) and come in 3 different flavors: matcha tea, soy bean flour, and black sugar. Honestly, aside from the clear matcha taste, I don't see much of a difference between the other two. I like them though, the chocolate seems very qualitative.




13. Ginbis Sea Animal White Chocolate Biscuits. These biscuits are in cute animal shapes and taste like white chocolate. It's an interesting, almost buttery, flavor and pleasant to snack on.




14. Rilakkuma Toy - Sushi Party. A cute free gift of this well known bear character, for the sushi and small toys lovers. It recreates animal shaped Japanese food.
