Fashionable Woman 101: Winter Essentials For 2016/17
11:06:00, by Petite Style Beauty
All of the fashion shows, fashion weeks
and other fashion events are over. We’ve seen it all.
Now it is
time to curl up in soft blankets and watch the snow from the safety
of our warm homes. Jokes aside, when you are a successful woman, you
need to make sure that you always look good no matter what.
If you
ask me, winter is the hardest season to do so, since your main goal
is to stay warm.
That is why all the layering happens and out of
nowhere you look like a baby in winter overalls, right?
Well, here
are some essential garments that will keep you warm and stylish
during these cold months that are approaching.
It is totally logical that, during winter your best choice are surely sweaters. Besides their warmth and coziness, they are also very popular this season. Here are some you should consider getting:
You’ve seen them all over the Instagram profiles of models like Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, you’ve seen them on city streets and magazines – you’ve seen them everywhere. Sweater dresses are the chicest way to wear knitwear. They go with everything, from white sneakers all the way to the ankle boots, or over the knee boots. They come in many shapes and sizes from plus size dresses to the smallest possible ones, so they are suitable for everyone. Also, you can wear them everywhere, at work, at cocktail parties, Christmas parties, wherever you want and you can find great dresses for sale online.
Chunky sweater
They are so cute and chunky, oh my God!
They adjure you to make experiments with them. You can wear your
chunky sweater (tucked, half tucked whatever) with high waisted
trousers, jeans, skirts, even tracksuits! Options are countless and
your only boundary is your mood that day.
Short sleeved, long sleeved or with no
sleeves, turtlenecks are always winning. Besides looking like a
million bucks, you will also be protected from the cold in the best way
possible, since your cleavage and your neck are protected. Oh, and I
have a great advice for this one: if you are craving to achieve that
New York street style look, put on an oversized turtleneck sweater,
some huge sunglasses and tie your hair in a messy bun or a ponytail.
Add a trench coat and some black skinny jeans to it and voila.
Cardigans themselves are already always
popular, but now, the knit cardigans also came to the scene. There
are no rules for matching – match it with your wool tank and skirt,
or match it with a printed T-shirt and some jeans, whatever you like
- they can handle it.
Are you ever just too lazy to dress up, but you also really want to look stylish? May I represent you: the poncho? They instantly add style to everything and make you look effortlessly chic.
Boots
You know what they say, give a woman a
good pair of shoes and she will conquer the world. We will change the
shoes part with boots part because we want to keep our cute little
feet warm as well, right?
Ankle boots
They are versatile and they are
universal – in other words a footwear you have to have. Elegant but sexy, cute but
comfy. They go great with leather skirts and skinny or boyfriend
jeans.
Over the knee boots
If you want that sexy attitude combined
with a million dollar look – these are the boots for you. They are
like the Holy Grail of winter footwear and they look good with
everything - jeans, dresses, leggings, skirts etc. You can find them
in all colors and shapes (platforms, flats, small heels, high heels
etc.)
Infinity scarves
At first sight, it looks like a regular
scarf, but its ends are sewn together so they make a loop. A great
accessory to keep you warm but also to add some color to your look if
you don’t experiment much with colors. Wrap it around your neck and
add an instant dose of style to your look.
Faux fur coats
You know what they say: don’t wear
fur, wear faux fur! Many popular brands like Zara decided to launch
this statement and draw us away from real fur with those gorgeous
faux fur coats and vests. Not only are there more colors and designs
available, that look way cooler than the ones made of real fur, but
you are also helping the planet which is always trendy.
That would be it, the pocket list of
ultimate winter essentials. Welcome this winter prepared.

Turtlenecks are my fave I wear them with everything! I would however really love a nice chunky knit!
